Automated Insights Reports

Stay on top of your link performance without logging into your admin dashboard every day. Or send data to a specified audience. Automated Insights Reports email a summary of your click data to you, or anyone on your team, on a schedule you choose.

What you get in each report

Every email includes a snapshot of how your links performed during the selected time period:

  • Total clicks: a day-by-day breakdown of clicks (and unique clicks, if enabled in your tracking settings)
  • Most popular links: your top-performing links with names, slugs, destinations, and click counts
  • A link to open Insights: jump straight to the full dashboard in WordPress for deeper analysis

LinkCentral PremiumĀ adds extra sections to the email, such as:

  • Geography: top countries, regions, and cities
  • User agents: browsers, devices, and operating systems
  • Top referrers: where your traffic is coming from
  • Custom email intro: personalize the message at the top of each report

Setting it up

  1. Go toĀ LinkCentral → Settings
  2. Open theĀ NotificationsĀ tab
  3. EnableĀ Email insights reports automatically
  4. ClickĀ ConfigureĀ to set your options
  5. Save your settings

Reports will start going out on your chosen schedule.

Configuration options

SettingWhat it does
RecipientsWho receives the report. Enter one email address per line; each person gets their own copy
FrequencyHow often the report is sent: daily, on a specific weekday, or on the first day of each month
Data rangeThe time period covered: last 24 hours, last 7 days, or last month
Send hourWhat time the report goes out, on the hour (using your WordPress site timezone)

A few common setups:

  • Daily check-in — Frequency: Daily, Data range: Last 24 hours
  • Weekly roundup — Frequency: Every Monday, Data range: Last 7 days
  • Monthly summary — Frequency: First day of the month, Data range: Last month

What the email looks like

Reports arrive with the subject line:

[Your Site Name] LinkCentral Insights Report

The email opens with a short intro showing your site name, the date range covered, and aĀ “View insights in WordPress”Ā button. Below that, you’ll find neatly formatted tables with your click data, optimized for both desktop or mobile.

With LinkCentral Premium, you can edit the text at the top of each report under Email intro.

Use these placeholders in your message:

Start a line with # to turn it into a heading. Leave the field empty to use the default intro.

Need help?

If reports aren’t arriving, check that:

  1. The feature isĀ enabledĀ and you’ve clickedĀ Save
  2. At least oneĀ valid recipientĀ email is listed
  3. Your site canĀ send emailĀ (WordPress relies on your server or an SMTP plugin)
  4. The report isn’t landing inĀ spam or promotionsĀ folders
