Disable URL prefixes

By default, LinkCentral adds a prefix to your short links. For example, a link like www.yourwebsite.com/go/short-link includes /go/ as the prefix.

Prefixes help distinguish your short links from regular site URLs, but in some cases, you may prefer to remove them.

Disable for individual links

To disable the prefix for an individual link:

  • Go to the Link Details page.
  • Click the blue-highlighted prefix to toggle the prefix off.

You can re-enable the prefix at any time by clicking it again.

Disable for all new links

If you’d rather disable the prefix by default for all new links, go to Settings → General. Enable the “Disable Prefix by Default” option. This will apply to all future links you create but won’t change the behavior of existing ones.
