Why Cloudflare

To use country-based Dynamic Redirects in LinkCentral, you need a geolocation service. LinkCentral supports two options: Cloudflare and MaxMind.

You can use Cloudflare if your site is already running on it to get started easily. If not, MaxMind is a strong free alternative for geolocation and may even offer higher accuracy.

Enabling Geolocation

To enable Cloudflare Geolocation on your website:

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to LinkCentral → Settings.
  2. Open the Tracking tab.
  3. Under Country Tracking Service, select Cloudflare.
  4. LinkCentral will automatically verify your setup. Confirm that the message reads: “Verified and all set!”

For accurate tracking, including region and city data, confirm the following settings in your Cloudflare account:

  • Sign in to your Cloudflare account and select your domain.
  • Go to Network and enable IP Geolocation.
  • Go to Rules → Settings → Managed Transforms.
  • Enable Add visitor location headers.
