Automatically Link Keywords

This is a

LinkCentral includes a built-in tool to automatically link keywords across your website. This is especially useful for content-heavy sites, such as blogs, where you want specific keywords or phrases to link to your LinkCentral URLs automatically.

Example: Let’s say you have an affiliate link for a dog food product. With Auto-Keyword Linking, you can automatically turn words like “dog food” or “Brand X” into links pointing to that affiliate URL across your posts and pages.

To enable this feature, go to Settings > Plugin and enable the “Auto-Keyword Linking” feature. Then, click Configure to adjust the settings.

Configuration Options

🔢 Keyword Density

Each keyword, which you can later create on each Link Details page, can be assigned a density level:

  • High – Replace up to 10 instances per page
  • Medium – Replace up to 5 instances
  • Low – Replace up to 2 instances

These values are defaults and can be customized. Higher density means more replacements per page.

📄 Where to Replace Keywords

Choose the content types where keywords should be replaced:

  • Posts
  • Pages

🏠 Replace on Default Pages

By default, dynamic WordPress pages like the homepage or archive pages are excluded. You can choose to enable replacements for:

  • Home
  • Blog
  • Archive

🔁 Replacement Method

Choose how keywords are linked across your content:

  • Smart (Recommended): Replaces the first few and the last instance.
  • Sequential: Replaces the first few occurrences only.
  • Random: Replaces keywords randomly. (Not recommended for SEO)

🔡 Case Sensitivity

Enable or disable case-sensitive matching. By default, matching is case-insensitive.

Add new keywords

Once Auto-Keyword Linking is enabled and configured, you can start assigning keywords to your LinkCentral links. This allows specific words or phrases in your content to automatically become clickable links pointing to your chosen URL without manual editing required.

To assign keywords:

  • Create or edit a link in LinkCentral.
  • Scroll down to the “Auto-Keyword Linking” section.
  • Click “Add Keyword” to enter a word or phrase you want to auto-link.
  • Choose a density level (High, Medium, or Low) to control how often the keyword is linked per page.
  • To add more keywords or phrases, click “Add Keyword” again and repeat the process.

You can update or remove keywords at any time by editing the link.

Good to Know

  • If a keyword is already manually linked in the content to any destination, it will not be overwritten.
  • If multiple links use the same keyword, they will alternate. For example: If Link A and Link B are both linked to “dog food” and both have medium density, the links will combine and alternate: A → B → A → B → A.
  • If you’re using a caching plugin, clear your cache after updating keyword settings to see the changes.
