Inserting Links (Elementor)

Inserting links in Text Widgets

In Elementor, text widgets use the Classic Editor (TinyMCE) to insert and format links within your content. Since Elementor relies on TinyMCE, you can refer to the instructions on the Classic Editor page for more information on how to use it effectively.

Inserting links using Dynamic Tags

Elementor’s Dynamic Tags, available in Elementor Pro, let you insert dynamic content like URLs into widgets, pulling information automatically from your site. With LinkCentral’s direct integration, you can easily manage and insert URLs.

Each inserted link will dynamically update across your website with the latest link settings (such as slug, CSS classes, attributes, and more).

  1. If you are using Elementor Pro, insert any widget with a URL field and click the Dynamic Tags icon. Select the LinkCentral Link tag.
  2. Search for and select your desired link from the search results that appear.
  3. Optionally, set extra settings, such as parameters (Premium only).

Troubleshooting

When you insert a Dynamic Tag, LinkCentral adds a link with a unique identifier. Each time your page loads, LinkCentral scans for these identifiers, retrieves the latest link settings (such as slug, CSS classes, and attributes), and generates the final link. However, some issues may arise:

  • JavaScript Parsing: LinkCentral may not retrieve all identifiers correctly if they are being parsed through JavaScript. While 99% of links work without issue, if you encounter problems, it’s recommended to use regular links instead of Dynamic Tags.
  • Caching Issues: If you have a caching plugin enabled, the latest link settings may not display correctly. Clearing your cache should resolve this.
