Disable URL prefixes

By default, LinkCentral adds a prefix to your short links. For example, a link like www.yourwebsite.com/go/short-link includes /go/ as the prefix.

Prefixes help distinguish your short links from regular site URLs, but in some cases, you may prefer to remove them. To disable the prefix for an individual link:

  • Go to the Link Details page.
  • Click the blue-highlighted prefix to toggle the prefix off.

You can re-enable the prefix at any time by clicking it again.

If you’d rather disable the prefix by default for all new links, go to Settings → General. Enable the “Disable Prefix by Default” option. This will apply to all future links you create but won’t change the behavior of existing ones.
