View Insights

The LinkCentral Insights dashboard gives you detailed analytics on link performance, user behavior, and traffic sources. This guide walks you through each section and how to make the most of its features.

To get started, go to LinkCentral > Insights in your WordPress dashboard.

Custom Filtering

At the top-right of the Insights page, you’ll find filtering tools to refine the data being shown:

1. Link Filter
By default, the dashboard shows insights for all your links. With LinkCentral Premium, you can filter the data to view analytics for a specific link or for all links within a particular category.

2. Date Filter
Select a date range to update all analytics graphs accordingly. Available presets include:

  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Last year
  • Since Start (Premium only)

The Since Start option automatically loads all data starting from the very first click recorded.

Analytics Overview

Total Clicks

This section shows a line chart tracking both:

  • Unique Clicks: The number of distinct users who clicked your links.
  • Total Clicks: The full number of clicks received within the selected timeframe.

Note: If the “Track Unique Visitors” setting is disabled in your LinkCentral settings, the Unique Clicks line will not appear.

You can also hide lines by clicking on the label at the top right, or export data as an image or CSV file by clicking on the small menu icon.

Top Countries (Premium only)

If geolocation tracking is enabled in your LinkCentral settings, this section displays the top countries your visitors are from. The chart shows the most popular countries based on click volume. If a visitor’s location can’t be determined, it’s labeled as “Unknown.”

You can also paginate through the results or export the data as an image or CSV file.

User agents (Premium only)

Understanding what technology your visitors use helps you optimize your content for the right platforms. This section is split into three pie charts:

  • Browsers – For example: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc.
  • Devices – Desktop, mobile, tablet
  • Operating Systems – For example: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, etc.

Each chart shows the distribution of users by category within the selected date range and link scope.

Acquisition Channels (Premium only)

This section helps you understand how people found your links:

The Channels tab indicates the source type:

  • Direct – Clicks with no referrer information (e.g., from email or direct typing)
  • Internal – Clicks from within your own website (eg from a blog post)
  • Referral – Clicks from other websites

The Top Referrers tab lists frequent individual sources, for example, reddit.com, linkedin.com, or other referring domains. It also includes “Internal” and “Direct” as valid referrer types. You can paginate through the results too.

Most Popular Links

This table shows the top-performing links within your selected timeframe. For each link, you’ll see:

  • The link name
  • The destination URL
  • The total number of clicks
  • A dynamic redirect icon if the link is set up to redirect conditionally

You can navigate through the full list using pagination at the bottom of the table.

Recent Clicks

The Recent Clicks section provides a real-time, scrollable log of your latest link activity. Each row includes data such as the name of link, destination URL, referring website, timestamp, and any user agent data.

You can page through this history to view older records as far back as needed.

Good to know: Timestamps throughout LinkCentral, including those in Insights, are based on your server’s time.
