Privacy Policy

About us

We are Design for WP (www.designforwp.com), the resource website for WordPress site owners and admins.

Cookies & Data

Like most websites, we collect non-personally-identifying information that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as browser type, user agent, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each request. While using this site, we might log and analyze visitor activities such as the number of clicks on links to analyze trends, user movement around the site, and demographic information. To enable this, we use cookies, web beacons, and other similar technologies, including from third-party partners such as Google.  These are meant for analytical purposes, measurement services, and better targeted advertisements that allow us to understand how visitors use our website and how we can improve the experience. We do not collect personally identifiable information about you in any way, unless you voluntarily provide it, such as giving us your email address to subscribe for the newsletter. We also don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law or protect our rights.

For insights and statistics, we make use of Google Analytics (GA). Integration of GA is done in an anonymized way, such as by automatically anonymizing your IP address on all GA hits. Cookies that you might find are called _ga_gid, and _gat.

We also use cookies if you leave a comment on our site. You may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website which are then stored in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for a maximum of one year.

You may wish to disable cookies. This can be done depending on your individual browser options.

Comments

When you leave comments on this blog, we collect the data as shown in the comments form, as well as the used IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you have left a comment and you would like to change it, you can navigate to the specific comment and press the ‘Edit’ button. If this does not work for you, or if you have any questions, please reach out to us at info [at] designforwp [dot] com.

Newsletter

Design for WP has a newsletter which visitors may signup for using the subscription form in the footer and at other places around the website. To subscribe, you have to provide your email address via the subscription form. We use MailerLite as our email service. By subscribing to the newsletter, you consent to receiving occasional emails. Design for WP does not share your information with others.

Ads

Ads appearing on this blog may be delivered to visitors by external advertising partners. The partners may set cookies that enable their service to recognize your browser each time they show you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your browser. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Design for WP and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertising partners.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Business continuation and transfer

If Design for WP, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Design for WP goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Design for WP may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Webshop purchases

When you make a purchase on our webshop,  for example to buy a plugin, we collect certain information such as your name, email address, provided billing address, and payment details. This information is necessary to process your order, deliver products, provide customer support, and comply with legal requirements. Payment information is securely processed by third-party providers and not stored on our servers. Your personal data is only shared with trusted third parties for payment processing, order fulfillment, and website analytics. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time, and can manage your cookie preferences through your browser.
